MetroWest is have a large SummerFest event on June 9th at the MetroWest Golf Club.  Free family fun and entertainment.  We were wanting to know if the Boy Scouts could assist us again this year in kicking off this event with a couple of your young men (color guard) for our opening ceremonies and national anthem?

Troop 6 Family Bowling Event  Sunday, 6/23/2013, 3:00 - 5:00  pm.,  Sky Bowl Lanes, 7401 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, Fl, 32809 (just north of the Florida Mall) Pre Sale tickets go on sale this Monday! $10 per person, includes 2 hours of bowling plus shoe rental. Buying a presale tickets guarantees you and your family a reserved lane. Bring your family and friends! This is a fundrasier for the troop. Tickets will be sold at each troop meeting and Court of Honor in the next few weeks! Don't forget to get your tickets soon! Last minute tickets can be bought the day of the event. Mrs. Roethel will be selling tickets for $10 each.

Hi Scouts and Parents,

It is that time again to review your scouts medical forms.  If there is a highlight on yours your your sons name that means that your medical form is expired and that you will need to submit a new one to me if you are attending a summer camp this year.  Also, if you insurance has changed please give me an updated copy as well.  If you notice that something is incorrect please email me at dlake2@cfl.rr.com and I will fix it.  This is a lot to keep up with so there is a chance there is a error somewhere.  

Mrs. Best wants to remind everyone that she is the counselor for the Family Life Merit Badge, an Eagle-required badge.  This merit badge is not earned in a classroom setting.  You need to see Mrs. Best at one of our meetings and discuss starting the merit badge.  This is a great one to work on over the summer since it requires at least ninety days of activity to complete. 

This Merit Badge is recommended for those Scouts that have strong swimming skills. It is not for beginners or those who cannot already swim 100 yards with confidence. Please see Merit Badge Counselor Mr. Phillips prior to pulling your Blue Card.
